Small Gentlmen Gesture
Finally found a good example of good gentlemen gesture today. On the train to work today. An executive looking man portrays a very good example of gentleman gesture.
We both got on the train from the same station. Now, to me, it's an unwritten rule that if you are standing near to the door during peak hours, you step out to let people in the cabin get out of the train. He was standing quite near to the door.
At the next stop, a popular exchange station, he automatically stepped out of the train so as to let people from inside the cabin get out. So he did the unwritten rule, which is good. But what impressed me was that he waited for all the ladies at that station to get on the train before him. That is, he was the last one to get in back on the train.
On other times, I will see the other male passengers hustle in quickly after the passengers get out, it was as if they were afraid that they will be squashed by the train doors.
But this guy's gesture was a breath of fresh air.
It's nice to note that there are still gentlemen out there. :)
