New Series - Where Does All The Money Go? (Part 1)

I am inspired to write a series of entries of how and where do the salaries of girls go to, so as to let pathsgmens know that it takes alot to upkeep our outer appearance and inner space.

When you see a pretty girl on the street walk by, have you ever wonder how much she spent on looking this good for you to look at? I shall attempt to address the question of where the money has gone, to give you a better idea of why do we need to spend those kind of money. Head to Toe. Inside, outside. Here goes...

Part 1 - The Hair

To have beautiful, shiny, healthy-looking, sun-kissed hair (yeah, to that effect), we girls do things beyond shampoo and conditioner. Take a look at the list of things we do to our hair to look good. The list is detailed, but not exhaustive:

Hair Cutting ($18 - $80)
Hair Perming (anything between $80 - $300)
Hair Rebonding
(anything between $90 - $300)
Hair Colouring/Highlighting (anything between $80 - $300)
Special Event Hair Styling (Temporary perm, hair styling etc.) ($30 - $200)
Scalp Treatment at Salon (Massage, Ampoule treatment) ($50 - $anything you can think of)
Hair End Treatment at Salon (varies depending on treatment)
Shampoo ($5 - $60)
Conditioner ($5 - $60)
Hair Serum ($15 - $100)
Hot Oil ($15 - $100)
Hair Mask ($15 - $100)
Oral Hair Supplements ($30 - $80)
Hair Mousse ($8-$50)
Hair Spray ($8-$50)
Hair Wax (Gels are too hard. And we don't want a "Something About Mary") ($8-$50)

Hair Accessories
Hair Clips
($1-$100)
Hair Bands ($1-$100)
Scrungies ($1-$30)
Black Hair Pins ($0.50 - $5)
Hats ($10-$anything)
Caps ($10-$anything)

Fashion or Hair Magazines, hair ones usually foreign mags ($8.50 - $30)

The pricing above is based on what I have personally done, owned or read from magazines (yes, $100 for a hair clip is possible).

So when a pretty girl walk passed you, or if your gal friend and her crown of glory made your head turn, pause and think about how much money she has spent on keeping her hair. And be grateful you get to see the end product, and not pay for the end product.

:)

  • I guess I should have realized this but, honestly, I never thought the list would have been that extensive.

And maybe the list here in the US would be even longer.

    Although I don't see how.
