The Pathetic Race called Singapore Men (especially Single Ones)

Tuesday, March 23, 2004

Finally.

I will use this forum as a mean to slam (in my own words) the pathetic Singaporean men.

Let me see... so far I have men who:
1) pick and choose female platonic friends by their looks
2) THINKS (note that I use the word think instead of believe) they can find a dream girl (like Fiona Xie) when they themselves are a big humpty dumpty.
3) like to brag alot alot.. but when u ask them to put their words into action, they kept silent.

I don't care if others call me sour grapes, or old spinster when I jack out all these comments... because to me, I have had enough. Single Singaporean Men (SSM) are superficial in ways more than one.

My last unpleasant SSM experience came off tonight. After the movie, the 6 of us (2 guys and a girl), were pondering on where to have a light snack. One couple said earlier to me that since they have transport, they will be going off on their own. Upon reaching the ground floor, I asked around where should we have our snack. Me and the other girl of the couple were thinking of going to the waffle place. However, the guy said he was sick of the waffle place and there is nothing to drink over there. Think he proposed fast food. The girl protest that fast food is boring and no good. She asked if he is eating later on, which he said no. Someone then proposed to go to food court instead. By the time we are ready to go to the food court, its closing time. So I asked again if anyone had anything else to suggest. Everybody say "anything".. I had to call everything off and announce that we should all go home instead.

For the entire session, I was so pissed that the one who objected strongly to not going to the waffle place is the one who will not be eating the waffle. Ok, mebbe the drinks over there is limited or what.. but no one wanna go to the fast food restaurant and there is no food court already, the leftover places are expensive ones...

Anyway, after I announced the going home, everybody knows that I am pissed, even though I was smiling away. I do not think I have the patience to display in such situations anymore. I do not think I owe anyone anything to do whatever I think is the best solution of that time. We do not have to worry where we land in, and we do not have to be bothered with what we should drink that can please everyone.

I have also decided. I will go on outings with ppl who do not have transport. That way, it is easy for us to arrange meeting and eating place where we can go, a place where it is accessible to everyone. People with transport has difficulty understanding ppl without transport.

I will 'divorce' from my current 'husband', so as to let the '2nd wife' take over my place. After all, 'she' has already done alot to ensure that 'she' gets the final say in the house. Forget about relationships, I am happy as a single.

Will announce the decision later.
